Say no to cyber bullying : It was an accident (essay by Olatunbosun Jesunifemi)

It was an accident.

This is not a car crash you watch on TV where the cars fly in the air before colliding. It is (kindly bear with me as I describe this jargon) a humnerrolistic flop hagardwashly staring in our faces. Now let me explain.

The advent of social media is a big blessing unto us.”you can poke your neighbor without opening your door, you can be in many places at a time, play music, study, operate a business via your e-shop, automate sales and you can also fall in love with just a click.
A wide digital community all in one place.

Despite these huge benefits it's heartbreaking how some of us have turned social media to a palmtop office to hurl hateful comments when others express themselves;
Words like:
“This is so lame"
“Cringe"
“This sucks"
“This ____ irritates me"
“You're ugly" have become part of our social media daily scenes. This had led many youths and teenagers and our grandpa's and grandmas trying to catch up with this fast paced generation to plunge into depression and isolation.

But hey, here's the question “does that make anyone happy?"
No,I really don't think it makes anyone happy too. So next time you want to write a comment. Be rational.

Don't joke dirty

Our words are like cars and bad cars cause bad accidents.
