AFÉFÉ-AIR: POETRY ON JEKPHRASA

AFÉFÉ- AIR
We exist in a gaseous state
so we exhaust
like the smoke from a chimney
when we yawn
we give a piece of our breath
to peace-filled horizons
- few miles nearer to heaven
each day oxygen asks us to pay a rent
of carbon-dioxide before we are deoxygenated.
AFÉFÉ
The essence of air
is a fuel for you to bear compassion
rear fill-in-the gaps and omissions
dare missions
have a battle dance with fear
visit pity parties
home comings
and six-feet home goings.
we exist in a gaseous state
so we exhaust.

  1. Incantatory as a relatable traditional style poem should sound. The musicality makes up for the subjective metaphors. A good one
